Brilliantly balanced. I find these shots very difficult to capture.

@sandersoftheriver many thanks. Though trying to hold the horizon camera at this angle is also a challenge.....

Ah - a question then. Your images are really outstanding and having seen them I'd like to take a Horizon Kompact to South America later in the year . Is it a difficult camera to handle? I won't be happy unless my images are as good as yours :)

The newer Horizons made by Lomography are supposed to be better in terms of Quality control than the older Horizon S3 Pro and Horizon 500. I have chewed through 3 Horizons over the last 2-3 years! Sometimes they develop banding (your blues skies have vertical lines) othertimes they simply eat up the film halfway through a roll. Hence i now travel with portable darkbag. But their results are superb as you can see. Best to buy one and try before your trip! And you need a handheld exposure meter of course. other than that I think it is the fisheye distortion that I dont really like but that is because this camera is so darn wide! I normally use a software t reduce the fisheye effect to make the results more like hasselblad xpan. And this camera is fixed focus so dont expect bokeh type portraits. In fact portraits are out because minimum focus on this camera is very poor about 5m is the closest focus if you use largest aperture.

NTW I now have an Xpan but I still bring my Horizon alongside my Xpan - it holds its own little place in my camera bag as it does things the Xpan cannot do.
