Planning and Rewards

It wasn’t much more than a random thought. A sort of “pale blue dot” moment. Turn around and expose the film in the direction I had come from. Then I read about the Toronto Urban Photography contest that year. So I see what the criteria are and have a look at what others are entering. Then I wait. Now, for those that don’t know, one of Toronto’s area codes is 416. I wanted to be entry number 416! Next I chose the shot using the sponsor’s product. Oh so clever! A photo with the iconic CN Tower in it for the image of Toronto! YAWN! How original… So the photo wins and I get my photographic gallery debut!

If you were like most people that visit the Norman Felix Gallery, you probably were looking at the stairs so as not to trip and fall. I still call it my gallery debut…Even if I did walk right by it myself the first time.
