Villa Epecuén was a tourist village that was located in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Now abandoned, its ruins are found on the eastern shore of the Laguna Epecuén, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of the city of Carhué.
On 6 November 1985, a seiche caused by a rare weather pattern broke a nearby dam first, then the dike protecting the town. Rapidly made uninhabitable, the town saw the waters rise progressively, reaching up to 10 metres (33 ft) at its maximum. The village was never rebuilt.

It's been 2 years since I've been back home to San Francisco. My family and friend's told me I needed to get back there, so I took a short trip (multiple cameras packed). I had such an AWESOME adventure!! It was everything I needed. Lots of L♥ve, sunshine (although chilly...it's the bay area, I wouldn't have it any other way), delicious food, meeting great people and reconnecting to some I hadn't seen in a really long time! I also got to shoot lots of portraits which I've come to realize is a tremendous creative love of mine (thanks Lubitel). Highlights included going to Marcus Books in the Fillmore and seeing Karen the owner who I've known and loved since my freshman year in high school (if you're ever in the city stop by and see her), meeting Brian who was fun to talk to at Brenda's and buying flowers at my all-time favorite florists in the Castro. Enjoy!!!!

Chiedo scusa per la qualità delle foto, ma è una foto digitale alla stampa analogica, perché non ho uno scanner qui con me e devo usare questa soluzione!
Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures, but it is a digital picture to the print of the analogue one, as I don't have a scanner here with me!

It is raining and raining and raining and I am slowly running out of motives I can shoot without getting completely wet. :( So I am sitting at home bored, photographing the same things over and over... (sorry! :D)... okay... I tried funny portraits and macros, I got some filters (e.g. my favorite one, the hoya multicolor) and finally I could go out for 10 minutes... :P
The Zenit Automat is a new member of my Zenit collection.. :) It's a nice camera. The handling is very similar to the Canon AV1 or Pentax ME. You set the aperture and the camera does the rest. Sometimes the lightmeter seems to be a little bit confused, but I think it's not a big problem.
