Newcomer of the Week: Rainboow

How did you find out about the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

Since I was a little child, I loved to take pictures. It´s really cool that you can catch a moment, situation or people that you want to keep, not only in your heart or mind. It´s a bit forever, you can watch the picture every time. With every picture and of course the camera it was taken, there are a lot of memories and feelings behind.

It was a really boring day surfing in the internet and I searched about cameras, then I find some strange and crazy colored cameras called Lomo. I read some articles, watched crazy pictures, the cameras at the shop and after one month I decided to buy me a Holga120N in blue. She was my first Lomographic camera.

Is there anyone in the Lomographic Society you look up to? If yes, who is him/her and why?

I watch every day a lot of pictures from my Lomo Amigos and they are all beautiful. But I don´t have anyone that I adore. I do my one thing. But their pictures give me inspiration.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

There are two rules I follow. “Take your camera wherever you go” and “Don´t think just shoot!” I think I don´t have to say anything more.

In this digital age, why still film?

Because I don´t want those perfect too perfect pictures. I love it, not knowing how a picture turn out at the end. It´s every time when I pick up my films from the lab, like a little birthday or better.

I don´t have someone. There are so much good Lomographs, and everyone is special.
