Bleriot Xl

This is as i understand it the oldest plane flying now. The inventor Louis Bleriot was the first to cross the english channel in july 25th 1909 with a plane like this. The first one to cross the north sea between Norway and Great Britain was Trygve Gran in 1914. It has a rotating engine. That means that the axel is bolted on to the aeroplanes frame and the propeller is bolted on to the engine. So the propeller and engine rotates together. It gives, shall we say, the aeroplane interesting flyingcaracteristics. The pilot of this aeroplanes dayjob is flying a big Boeing 737. Talk about a contrast.
