According to the official numbers; in the first 7 months of 2010 226 women were murdered,478 women were raped,722 were harrased and 6 433 women were faced domestic violence.
According toTurkish statistics office(tuik) ,in the last five years sexuall harrasment and rape crimes were increased by %30, 528 women in 2006,473 women in 2007,577 in 2008 and 652 women in 2009 were raped.
489 women in 2006,540 in 2007,589 in 2008 and 624 sexuall harassment cases were reported in 2009.Between 2005 and 2010 over 100 000 women were faced by sexuall harassment.%40 of these women did not press charges because of fear acording to the statistics records.
