After the Lubitel photos, the Fed ones. This rangefinder is really a nice camera to handle, and the Jupiter 8 is a jewel. The only annoying point is the rewind button, quite hard ti turn, you have to be patient ! I didn't use any light meter, I based my settings on the "sunny 16 rule" - it worked well, but maybe sometimes I should have opened one stop lower. The sun was behind the clouds mostly, but when it came out, the floor tiles reflected the light quite strongly.

In February, I went out with a couple of friends to walk around Berlin-Mitte to take pictures, as I often do. I had my Canon F-1 and wanted to try out Berlin Double XXL film. I got it after some research after falling in love with the black-and-white footage from Oppenheimer, which is supposed to be the same. The film is originally called Kodak 5222 or Kodak Double-X.

In January I was the first time in Kyrgyztan and I loved it. I was filming a story about German-French cultural institutes called Kultur Ensemble. Therefore I was hanging quite a bit with musicians like Nuraim, who is a master on her Cello. Carrying it through bishkek is her everyday task. and I was hanging a bit with my great friend @gotoarizona. Nastya moved from St.Petersburg to Kyrgyztan, like many other gifted russians due to the political climate. Dakar became a place of happy returns in the last years. This is mainly due to a documentary project I am working on about emerging new architecture. But I like it there. It's a place in West Africa, where it is easy to get around and the people are very open. I ill be back.

I had a few days during my trip to Kenya and used the time luckily for a little safari in the Masai Mara. Very inspiring and a must on everyones bucket list. We also passed the border to the Serengeti in Tansania. Which is convenient, because I am collecting countries :)
