Once a year there is a big event all over the region of the Ruhr Area. The project is called "Extraschicht" and takes former industrial plants, active production facilities, mines and slagheaps and turns them into cultural venues. We went to Zeche Zollverein and I tried to capture the cool and urban atmosphere of the whole place with all of the light installation art. Great night, great place!

I'm a big fan of Cokin filters. Mostly because I was given so many and so many of their promotional booklets. They have all kinds of filters for doing multiple exposures. The one I used here is the Double Mask A 342. Two filters One with a black dot on clear resin. The other a All black filter is a little hole. In the booklets they recommend (in the 80's) you take a projector and photo graph slides you already had in order to create special effects. I just used a 32" screen.

This is the view when I was on the go to my grandfather's hometown for the first time. We were stuck in this area called Nagreg, suburb before Garut, West Java, Indonesia, South East Asia, for about one hour. No wonder, because we trip at "Mudik" time. Mudik is the only Indonesian tradition, it's the time when most of moslem in Indonesia who live at other city/country, came back to their hometown. Usually it happen one week before 'Aidil Fitri, Islamic big day after one month fasting at Ramadhan month.

at Bojong Salawe' beach, Parigi, Ciamis, West Java, Indonesia, South East Asia. 1st time trip to my grandfather's hometown & 1st time using Fuji Chrome 50 D film. One comment below ask if the fisherwoman so strong because while work she carry her child LOL then I said it's an optic illution because it's not her child, it's another fisherman who pull the giant fishnet

Tiger sculpture on jalan Wastu Kantjana, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, South East Asia, Earth 🌏 that was made by Nyoman Nuarta, Balinese sculpture artist, who lived in Setra Duta about hundred step from my home. Nyoman Nuarta who studied at the faculty of art Institut Teknologi Bandung are the same sculpturist who made Garuda Wisnu Kencana, the tallest sculpture in the world, which located in his hometown Bali

I took these photos last year when I visited my friend Kathy and her family. I thought I've posted these photos last year but when I was browsing through my albums the other night, I discovered I didn't. I really like this set especially with the girls playing around and such. They're moving to California this summer so I guess I will be taking more photos of them :)

I had a crazy project in mind... let me stress it again: a CRAZY project! I contacted as many Lomographers in London as I could and I went to meet them and take their pictures with one (or more) of my analogue cameras. The idea? Photographing the photographers and introducing the people behind the lens to the Community - as well as having a privileged pick on their personal styles. :) I will have to say (again) a big THANK you to giorgious and julietalucca - the stars of this third album of the series. One more to come! :)
