Lomopedia: Konica Pop EF-80

There’s nothing fancy with the Konica Pop EF-80. It’s a straight up 35mm fixed focus shooter with a built-in flash for shooting situations that need quick pop of light. It also has a red eye corrector for portrait photography.

The EF-80 has motorized film winding and rewinding that makes shooting a breeze, especially for those rapid-fire snapshot moments. The mechanical whirring of the motor is a pure delight to point-and-shoot enthusiasts.

Konica released a series of cameras in the Konica Pop EF family. Some cameras included in this line are the Konica Pop EF-7, EF-70, EF-5 and EFP-8. All cameras in the Konica Pop EF line use fixed focus shooting and plastic lenses. The Konica Pop EF cameras are lightweight due to the plastic body.
