If you happen to be in Montevideo, don’t miss the chance to go on a road trip to Colonia del Sacramento. Colonia is located in the southwestern Uruguay - 180 km from the capital city. When in Colonia, you should wander around in the old city center, explore all the paths, learn about its history, climb up the old lighthouse and marvel at the views.

To indulge yourself, there are a bunch of inviting places where you can relax, have a great meal and some local wine. By the end of the day, you’d be ready for the best: watching the spectacular sunset over Río de la Plata. It’s breath taking.

Believe me, life is really peaceful there.
