   I have never had the opportunity to try it, but I hear it is a love/hate thing. (maybe like Spam)

   Spam is an unfair comparison. Spam is repulsive. Marmite is complicated. In the UK it is horrible, Bovril is much nicer, though a meat extract, where I believe Marmite is Vegetarian. Here in NZ Marmite is a different company, so UK Marmite here is called My Mate. NZ Marmite is very nice. Bovril is unavailable. See. Complicated ;)
