I'm starting to dislike cross processing or I'm doing it wrong for some reason everything turns out bad whenever I try to cross anything almost never get a nice subtle result like I see in the examples of some other lomographers.

well, on some pictures of this album the x-pro comes out well.... lomo x-pro 200 is kind of grainy sometimes and cross processing is generally a bit versatile too.... You never know beforehand if it's over or underexposed (in the case of this shot I'd rather say it's too much underexposed). I generally underexpose 1 stop, but that doesn't prevent some of my x-pro's to be burned when the light is really too strong. There's also the scanning process issue of x-pro: does the negative look exactly the same as the scanned result? Scanners tend to not like these strange excessive colors and balance. I often need to scan the xpro pictures with a large black and/or white border to get the real x-pro colors. It can affect, sometimes, the contrast and brightness of the shot but you can easily adjust them afterwards in any image software. And scanning is already playing with an image software, so the most important is to use them wisely to get what we see on the negative and not let the software interprete our picture of it's own...
