    This is just a IR filter on a unmodified camera, no extra effect/heavy photoshopping.
    Believe all digital camera sensors can see IR light but they have a filter in front of the sensor that blocks IR light.
    But as long as some light come true the you can take a image exept you will need way longer exposures.
    This shot for example has a 30sec exposure @f5.6 ISO100, full sunlight on a mid sommer day.
    Heard that newer cameras will generly blocks more IR light so those will need a longer exposure.

    The only thing you need to do unless you want to end up with a very red image is setting the white balance, IR filters are basicly very deep red filters.
    Plus IR filters that cuts out everything exept very deep IR light might not work on a unmodified camera.
    Just as IR films can't see the full IR spectum and if your filter blocks out more then the film can see then there will not be a image.
