New Beginnings

These images were taken during a photo shoot for an exhibition piece, based around the theme of "new beginnings", for the annual Out Of Sight Out Of Mind exhibition, which opened this evening at Summerhall, Edinburgh.

My lovely friend, Lynn (twitter.com/MrsFantoosh) had the idea to paint this couple, having not long celebrated their one year wedding anniversary, and one of them having been through treatment for her breast cancer.

I documented the body paint, both with my film & digital cameras, then we all together chose an image to be printed for the exhibition.

I feel so privileged to have been allowed to capture this process, such a fun day shooting, and very fulfilling to see the image on the gallery wall this evening :-)

Processed at home with Tetenal C-41 kit.
