A film test. I swapped a few rolls of film for this 10m roll of ancient black and white agfa slide film with @captainfantastic. I really had no idea what it would be like but to say I'm stoked is an understatement. Rodinal 1+50 for 15 minutes seems to have done the trick, the exposures ranging from iso32 down to iso 2! Its undeniably slow but what an amazing emulsion.

This looks like a 1970's Bay window VW Bus. I'm guessing that the right hand drive is what they have over there, where ever 'there' is. Not too many RHD cars here (Arizona). Thanks for the share.

@rreeder @rolfmg I restored the old thing myself about 10 years ago. Sadly unlike your Arizona buses the rust had got into it badly, I had to weld new metal into every panel including the roof! 'There' is Cornwall, England.

If you ever get to Arizona, around September, The Arizona Bus Club has a raffle, 50 cents per ticket, for a VW Bus that has been brought back to life. Every September, someone drives home with a new (to them) VW bus.

@rreeder what a nice thing to do. Only 50cents a ticket too!

@CHARLIEDONTSURF I figured you would prefer this one. The blacks and shadows are really strong. My heart wants to believe if it was just 1/3 stop faster, the bright whites would hold and not blow out. It doesn't matter, you can't have it all, and actually blowing out the whites a tad means some sod isn't going to spend his day looking at 47 shades of white when there is actual detail in the blacks to admire. I dunno I'm a treble sort of guy, I can't help it.

@mike1allison yes I think so even though the whites are just that...white. I'm attracted to the shit and the grime that's been captured on the glass and that cobweb on the dashboard to the right of the headlight switch, it looks amazing on my big mac screen.

@charliedontsurf yes, the whites are very white. Really though if you look at the door mirror, there isn't very much difference between any of the shots, Although the mirror is going out on the first shot it is still about the same here. Again, if that isn't the object of your picture, the fact that it's whitening out isn't even an issue since you don't go there and aren't drawn there.
