Alassio, Dicembre 2016, pochi giorni dopo Natale. Foto scattate in una bella giornata quasi primaverile. Interessante il dettaglio della legna accatastata sulla spiaggia per l'essiccatura. Splendido anche il lungomare libero (come in tutte le altre nazioni europee) dai bruttissimi stabilimenti balneari.

Downtown LA was the site for the second meet-up of the LAAAC. It was great getting together with this fantastic group of people including grazie, af-capture, supershapy and other friends. Thanks to all of you for the great day!

These photos are very special to me - some of the most powerful images I have ever shot, I guess. I had a walk with my family in a park about a year ago and took my camera with me. I took a few black-and-white shots of my niece being herself and enjoying the walk. The cloudy sky required low shutter speeds, so I ended up at 1/30 s, I guess. This caused a very special blurry atmosphere in certain parts of the images, like hands and feet, while others remained still. Since I couldn't always focus properly the photos turned out kind of dynamic and alive. Most of the images were taken from a low angle, which shows the world from the perspective of a child. I really like the results and made prints for my niece and her parents.
