In some parts of Austria - also along the river Danube - there are large floods.

In Vienna the „Donauinsel" is flooded. Normaly the „Donauinsel“ is a big recreation area of Vienna, but it is principally built as flood protection. And it works!

@alexes nein, denk die ist dafür gebaut, ein teil dreht sich mit der strömung weg. diese bilder stammen ja alle aus dem dafür vorgesehenen überschwemmungsgebiet der stadt wien, auch wenns sonst ein radler- bade- und freizeitgelände ist.
