I fell in love with photography in 1987 when I bought a Canon AE-1 Program and the nFD 35-70mm f3.5-4.5. I took that camera everywhere. I eventually took a series of film photography classes using black and white film and darkroom processing earning a certificate in photography. I really enjoyed the darkroom and alternative processes. The professor encouraged me to expand my vision--he suggested a Holga--and another love affair began. Research on the Holga led me to look at other lofi cameras which of course led me to LSI. I am interested in alternative processes such as cyanotypes, polaroid lifts and transfers, hand coloring, and others. Over the years I have acquired two Holgas, a WOCA 120G, LC-A refurb, fisheye, frogeye, Diana+, Vivitar UW+S a knockoff Action Sampler, and several other non-lomo film cameras. I enjoy all photography and find great inspiration in what all of you are doing with your cameras. I recently lectured in a Photo II class on toy cameras and urged them all to join LSI. Well, thanks for reading this and helping me see differently.
